Exploring and redesigning non-monogamy on OkCupid
I determined the research methods, executed the studies and created deliverables across all stages of the redesign of OkCupid’s non-monogamy features. Throughout this project, I conducted a generative study and tactical usability testing that dispelled assumptions about user’s understanding of non-monogamy and brought greater context to negative customer support feedback. These findings informed a design that took into account the crucial role of social identity in online dating and an ecosystem of user interaction based on diverse needs and intentions.

Improvements to Hospital Quality Reporting
I conducted generative research to inform the complete re-design of a client's reporting tool for hospitals. I then led the usability testing of this tool, through the creation of usability metrics and a test to demonstrate how well our prototype met these goals in the hands of users.

Gender and Sexuality in Mobile Dating Apps
During my time at University of Oxford, I conducted several human-computer interaction research projects, focusing on how different user communities manipulate the features of mobile dating applications for their own purposes. I connected my research to concrete design recommendations to help these products better serve these communities.
